Description

Study of five areas of infant and toddler development (physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and language) including children who are learning English as a second language and children with special needs. Implementation of Developmental Profiles for infants and toddlers in care as a basis for program development and curriculum design. Design and implementation of appropriate environments for infants and toddlers considering cultural and family contexts. Ten hours of observations in infant and toddler settings, action research, use of technology, and an academic portfolio. PREREQ: EDC 721 and EDC 722.
