General Appeals
Graduate students seeking a waiver of any College regulation pertaining to graduate study may submit a formal petition to the Graduate Studies Committee. Waivers are granted only in cases involving compelling and well-documented circumstances.
To initiate an appeal, students must complete the official Graduate Student Appeal Form, available from the Office of Graduate Studies. The appeal must include:
• A detailed written explanation of the issue.
• All relevant supporting documentation.
Acceptable supporting documents may include, but are not limited to birth certificates, death certificates, medical letters from licensed physicians, letters of support from faculty or academic advisors, and any other documentation pertinent to the appeal.
Incomplete petitions or those lacking sufficient justification will not be considered. Students are encouraged to consult with the Office of Graduate Studies before submitting a petition to ensure all requirements are met.
