Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). Only full-time (12 or more credits) graduate matriculants are eligible for this program. The Federal Direct Loan Program provides loans for graduate students who are enrolled for courses totaling at least 6 credits per semester. The maximum amount granted per year is $8,500. Graduate Assistantships are awarded on the basis of academic ability and achievement. The duties of graduate assistants may include teaching, research, laboratory work, and similar assignments as specified by the student's academic department. Students who are interested in an assistantship should consult the appropriate department chair.
