Exploration of ways infant, toddlers, and young bilingual/multilingual children including children with special needs develop an understanding of basic human needs and interdependence in family, early care, and school settings. Approaches to social studies concepts, assessment, and instruction in both the home language and the new language, including use of media and technology within an integrated curriculum to meet standards for learning.
