Description
Exploration of the diverse ways in which children, including children who are learning English as a second language, and children with special needs, develop an understanding of basic human needs and interdependence in family, neighborhood, and school settings. Study of approaches to social studies, and assessment and instructional strategies, through media and technology, within an integrated curricula to meet State and national standards. Ten hours of fieldwork required with children in childhood settings with diverse populations, integrative seminar, action research, and development of an academic portfolio. PREREQ: EDE 721, EDE 722. COREQ: EDE 713. No student can receive credit for both EDE 714 and EDC 714
