Strategic Supervision and Leadership

Examines the role of teacher leaders highlighting change theory and interpersonal skills/behaviors of effective teacher leaders in P-12 settings. Topics include, but are not limited to, facilitation of professional learning communities, implementing coaching cycles, strategies for prompting staff collaboration, approaches for motivating and empowering staff, and facilitating lesson studies. Application of a coaching cycle in an educational context. (10 fieldwork hours required).Prerequisite: EDL 704; Permission of Coordinator.
