Literacy and Special Education All Grades

The 45-48 credit program in Literacy and Special Education leads to a Master of Science in Education degree, initial certification in Special Education (All Grades), and professional certification in Literacy Education (All Grades).  The program provides a bridge between communities, families, and schools. Teachers develop a combined mastery of research, theory, and instructional practices, and articulate working visions of the future of literacy and special education.  The program prepares practitioners to work with students with special needs in a culturally diverse educational system.
